The ancient town of Rishikesh, set against the backdrop of the Himalayas with the crystalline Ganga flowing through it, is a major tourist and pilgrimage hotspot in northern India. March-June: March offers ideal weather for rafting as well as participation in the famous International Yoga Festival. While temperatures are high during these months, the crowds are thinner, making it a good time to spend a relaxing vacation in this small town.

How to reach?

By Air

The nearest airport to Rishikesh is Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun, which is approximately 35 kilometres away. Once you arrive at the airport, you can take a regular taxi or bus to Rishikesh, which is easily accessible from Dehradun. Rishikesh's second closest international airport is in New Delhi, which is well-connected to cities all over the world.

By Train

The nearest train depot to Rishikesh is in Haridwar, about 25 kilometres away. Haridwar, in turn, is connected to major Indian cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Lucknow, and Varanasi.

By Bus

Rishikesh, as a popular tourist destination, has a good bus network connecting it to important areas such as Haridwar, Dehradun, and New Delhi. Every day, buses leave for Rishikesh from the Kashmere Gate ISBT in New Delhi in the morning and late evening. You have the option of taking a regular, deluxe, or luxurious coach.
