October-February: This is considered being the ideal time to visit Manali. The colder months witness moderate to heavy snowfall, covering the entire city with dazzling white snow. Despite the cold, this season is considered to be ideal for river rafting and other adventure sports.

March-June: Who doesnt need a quick and cool getaway in the hot summer months? The most popular time to visit Manali is during the summer, with vibrant exotic flowers in full bloom and a pleasant climate ranging from 10-25 degrees Celsius. This gorgeous hill station offers a panoply of outdoor activities such as river rafting, paragliding, trekking, and camping.

How to reach?

By Air

The nearest airport to Manali is Kullu-Manali Airport in Bhuntar, around 50 kilometers away, and catered to by domestic routes from Delhi and Chandigarh. Another preferred route is via the Chandigarh International Airport. It takes 6-9 hours from Chandigarh to Manali by cab. Major airlines that serve these airports are Air India, IndiGo, SpiceJet and Vistara.

By Train

The Kalka Railway Station at the foot of the Himalayas connects Manali to important cities such as New Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Lucknow, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Chennai. The most common route is via Ambala Cantt or Chandigarh. From here you can take cabs or buses to Manali at a reasonable price.

By Bus

Soft music, wind rushing through your hair and cool breeze on your face. There is nothing like taking a good old road trip through the mountains. Manali is well-connected to popular Indian destinations like Delhi, Chandigarh, Shimla, Kullu and Leh via public as well as private buses.
