Of Hills, Deodars and Tribes

It is barely a surprise if snow-capped mountains follow you everywhere in Dalhousie. How to reach?

By Air

The closest airport to Dalhousie is Pathankot, located around 87 kms away from the city. The airport caters to domestic flights from all over the country. The second nearest airport, Kangra airport, approximately lies 140 kms away from the city. One can take a bus or cab from the respective airports for a reasonable price.

By Train

The Pathankot Chakki Bank Railhead is the closest Rail network to Dalhousie. By far trains are the most convenient means of transport to travel to Dalhousie. Many super-fast, deluxe, regular and express trains cater to the Pathankot station through different parts of the country.

By Bus

Road trips and mountains go hand in hand. Buckle up your seats because this is going to be a long journey. Many deluxe, semi-sleeper, luxury, and Volvo buses operate from ISBT, New Delhi. Buses to Dalhousie are operated by a number of private firms, including Himachal Road Transport Corporation and Haryana Road Transport Corporation.
